and who has eaten the fish,

what can the abscence tell us

and remember to paint the in between

kan du måla det som inte längre är

kommer du att minnas det som inte längre finns

fisken är uppäten men kan fortfarande berätta att den en gång var här

och föresten

vem satt på stolen

och vem åt upp fisken

vad kan frånvaron berätta

och som dom säger på krokikurserna:

glöm inte bort att måla mellanrummet

1933

Old  calender bought in Vingåkers Second Hand shop.

I januari skriver man i almanackan:

"Juldagen var mulen och mild på morgonen och kvällen,

klar med solsken mitt på dagen och något under noll.

Den 29 var vi bort med Majros."

Den  30 januari blir Hitler rikskansler i Tyskland . Vad vet man om detta på en liten ort i Sörmland?

Almanckan lämnar inget besked.

Hela året beskrivs vädret och när man går bort med korna.

Den 21 juni kalvar så Gullros.

1932 KF calender

Look at how the sun on the cover turns into

a lightbulb from LUMA, when you flip up the cover.

I can´t find the name of the skilled illustratior anywhere in the calender.

So this worn out calender belonged to the same farmerfamily I suppose.

In it you can read about the cowes named 

Majros, Gullros, Hjärtros,  Krona and Brunnta.

(The last name is perhaps a horsename.)

There are also notes about the selling and the price of butter.

Nothing about the big worls outside.

1931 KF calender

I found this calender from 1931 in a

  second hand shop in Vingåker.

I loved its design, even if it really is worn out.

There is not so much written in it,

mostly weather reports

and the name MajRos,

which is a cows name,

and her name appears as I believe

the dates she is to meet the bull.

Maybe the calender has been kept in the farmers pocket

or hanged on a nail by the door in the farmhouse. 

The calender is edit by Kooperativa förbundet, KF, a still existing cooprative organisation in Sweden for consumers.

In Ådalen five persons were shot to death by soldiers, during a workers protest action. 

Skotten i Ådalen eller Ådalen 31 kallas händelseförloppet kring en arbetskonflikt i Ådalen i mitten av maj 1931, där fem personer sköts ihjäl av militär som stod under polismans befäl.

So this week I have been doing a serie of frottages.

And this is one of them.

 I haven´t given it a name,

 but surley it´s a proud one.

 As we said when we were even younger:

Be bold,

be proud ,

be beautiful!
